Dr. Richard, DC is a native of Louisiana. He has been practicing for over 19 years in Austin. He utilizes the Gonstead Specific System and has spent countless hours at seminars and offices devoted to the Gonstead protocol. The Gonstead system gives rise to a specific, definite approach, to every segment of the spinal column. It is an engineer’s approach to the spine. As a Gonstead chiropractor, Dr. Richard, DC believes in the art of a hands-on adjustment. This is truly where art meets science. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from LSU. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Southern California University Health Sciences. He decided to become a chiropractor after his own life was changed by a chiropractic experience. Dr. Richard, DC considers health & chiropractic part of his lifestyle as well as his career. He is constantly striving to learn & grow while staying at the forefront of new technology.
He has been honored with the Family Practice Excellence Award for his dedication to family health care in chiropractic. He has served on a humanitarian chiropractic mission to El Salvador. This trip consisted of chiropractic doctors and students who traveled to El Salvador to donate a week of free chiropractic care to the residents of various cities and villages within the country. They treated over 40,000 people within that time period.
Dr. Richard, DC is also the local representative for Athletes Against Drugs, a nonprofit organization committed to providing kids with the knowledge and resources to make great life choices to help them be as healthy as possible and stay drug-free.
He was also requested by the producers of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to utilize his expertise on the set when the show was in Austin. He gladly donated his time and effort to help the cast, crew, and volunteers to achieve their monumental goal. It was truly an inspirational experience!
