What Is a Migraine?

A migraine is an intense, throbbing headache that radiates through the head – sometimes of varying intensity. Migraines are often accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and/or sound. And migraine headaches are sometimes preceded by specific warning symptoms that can be different from one patient to the next. Not every patient will experience a migraine in the same way. And the causes of migraine headaches can differ as much as the patient’s experience.

When one part of your body is not operating or positioned properly, the results can occur and radiate through other parts of your body – especially your head. Migraines and recurring headaches can be caused by a wide variety of triggers or generate from different areas of the body.

Even your pillow or the bed you sleep on can cause recurring headaches! Because there are so many possible causes, finding the origin of your migraine headaches can be a challenge. Many doctors don’t or won’t take the time to uncover every possible headache source. That’s why so many people find themselves living with pain and feeling like a ‘lost cause.’

But your life doesn’t have to be that way. There are answers. And we will find the answer that works for you.
