Phenoage
Phenoage is a biological age metric that combines multiple clinical measurements to estimate how old someone is biologically. It’s a biomarker that can help predict the risk of disease and death.
9 Specific biomarkers from your blood are used determine the current state of your body!
- Albumin
- It is a protein found in the blood. The liver produces albumin, so low albumin levels may indicate liver damage. If present in the urine, it may indicate kidney damage. Low albumin can also be a sign of malnutrition.
- Alkaline Phosphate (ALP)
- Elevated ALP may indicate Liver disease, bone disorders, bile duct obstruction, and vitamin deficiency.
- Creatinine
- It is a waste product produced by muscle metabolism. Elevated levels can suggest kidney failure/infection or blocked urinary tract. Low levels indicate muscle loss and malnutrition.
- C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
- It is protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. Elevated CRP indicates Infection (bacterial, viral, or fungal),Heart Disease, Cancer, Trauma, Autoimmune disease!
- Glucose
- It is a type of blood sugar in the bloodstream. Used to monitor Diabetes!
- Lymphocytes
- They are a type of white blood cell (WBC) that play a crucial role in the immune system. High lymphocytes may indicate infection, inflammation, or cancer. Low lymphocytes can be caused by viral infections, autoimmune disorders, bone marrow problems, or certain medications.
- Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV)
- Is a measurement of avg. size of red blood cells. Used to diagnose and monitor blood disorders, like anemia, B12 deficiency, or folate deficiency.
- Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW)
- It helps assess the uniformity of red blood cell size. It is a useful indicator for diagnosing and monitoring blood disorders like anemia, iron deficiency, folic acid deficiency. Also, used for overall health of the bone marrow.
- White Blood Cell (WBC)
- It measures the number of white blood cells (leukocytes) in the bloodstream. They play a crucial part in fighting infections and other diseases. High/Low WBC can indicate cancers, pregnancy, or an immune disorder.
